In answer to Ben Lindsey's questionnaire on marriage, divorce, sex education and birth control legislation the 315 students who attended his lecture replied as follows: half of them will marry within a year after graduation if finances permit, but only 20 expect that the latter will permit; one will be a bachelor; the amount of income necessary to get married will vary from $1,000 to $10,000 with $4,000 the most common; 215 versus 105 will let their wives work if the money is needed, especially among the seniors; 205 will favor divorce by mutual consent after the recommendation of a committee of experts; only four of the 315 favor laws making it illegal to disseminate birth control data; one third uphold birth control clinics.
