First of all we had better get these fall weddings off our chests. In chronological order, September 8 Mai Beal was married to Rachel Weston Palmateer of Auburndale, Mass., and on September 26 Craig Haines and Eleanor Hibbard were married at Milton, Mass. A week ago, on October 3, Don Benjamin and Eleanor Chapman were twofourths of the participants in a double wedding in which Don's wife's sister, Hazel Chapman, and a Robert Edwin Clarke were likewise married, in Longmeadow, Mass. We can't give you a full description of these ceremonies, for all we have had to work on are the three announcements. A clipping from a Rockford, Ill., paper mentions that Upton Bartlett and Miss Patricia Wetherald Price will be married October 17 at Rockford, and goes on to list a string of prenuptial celebrations as long as one's arm, given the couple by their fellow citizens.
