The following Potholeskers were found at the Harvard Stadium on November seventh: Nat Batchelder, Bucky Bates, Artie Bolster, M. R. Brown, Ned Burbeck, Vic Cutter, Tubby Edwards, Harry Fitts, George Gage, Charlie Hall, Meat Hanlon, Andrew Jackson, Ned Kenerson, Ralph Keyes, Brutus Luce, C. E. Morrison, C. F. Morrison, John McElroy, Ralph Neal, Carroll Paul, O. W. Smith, Al Stockwell, Omar Swenson, and Harry Watson.
The mythical Andrew Jackson revealed himself in flesh, and modestly informed your Secretary that his official domicile was now located at Ossipee, N. H., and had been so located for at least one week. As usual there is a mystery connected with it, and you have one guess as to the official position held by Andy. You're all wrong. Andy is now clerk of the Superior Court at Ossipee, N. H., and invites all Potholeskers journeying northward through the Conways and southward through the Carter and Pinkham Notches to call on him with all due dignity.
Carroll Paul came on from the West to see this game, and John McElroy from Albany, N. Y. The latter attended the Yale game, and reported Kid Cohen, Harry Watson, Sherm Murphy, and Hy Ruppel as present.
After the game the Faithful Few and their wives gathered at the University Club for dinner and chinning session. Ned Kenerson's arrangements proved ideal, and a most enjoyable get-together was held. Those who have not attended these gatherings in the past should join up next year and brush up on their old friendships, which are often best of all.
Harriett Chase Newell of Derry Village, N. H., wrote most interestingly of her family in reply to an invitation to join the family party. Of her seven children five are away at school. Henry, Dartmouth 1930, is attending Cornell University studying Architecture; Benjamin is at Burdett Business College in Boston; Edward is at New Hampshire State University; Louise is a junior at Lasell Seminary; and Prescott is attending Mitchell School in Billerica, Mass. The remaining two children are at home with their mother, and all are enjoying the best of health. This is indeed a record of achievement, and 1903 is justly proud of Charlie's family.
Word has been received from Mous Avery that Andy Perham has moved northward
again and is now located in Washington, D. C.
Elizabeth Luce, daughter of Charles and Edith Luce, has just returned home from a prolonged session with the surgeons in the Nashua Hospital, due to a bad acting appendix. Elizabeth had very serious difficulties, but overcame them all and has regained her health. The class rejoices with you, Brutus.
Robert Davis has recently been appointed general manager of the American Hospital in Paris, according to an Englewood, N. J., newspaper item.
Word has just been received of the sudden death of Sherman A. Murphy of Albany, N. Y. "Sherm" died very suddenly almost in his sleep, on November 4, 1981. He had attended the Dartmouth game at New Haven the Saturday previous, and seemed in his usual good health. Further notice will be made in the January issue of this MAGAZINE.
Secretary, 198 Humphrey St., Marblehead, Mass.
