On March 15 the classes of '01, '02, '03, '04 and '05 are to hold an informal dinner at the Schraft Restaurant, West St., in Boston. The men you knew of your college generation will be there. Men you haven't seen since graduation or only occasionally at a football game or Dartmouth dinner.
The grave and serious minded senior when you were a freshman, the junior who egged you on against the sophie who was always making life miserable for the freshman, and so on until you became a senior. Plans are in the making for a real informal getto-gether, worth travelling miles to attend, the brain-child of Steve '01, and that means worthwhile. Due notice will be sent you in March.
A letter from Albert E. "Aggie" Smith of Binghamton, N. Y. announces the engagement of his daughter, Susan Allen Smith to John Pritchard Codman of Cambridge, Mass., the 31st wedding anniversary of Albert and his wife on January 17th, and then as though the first of the year had not heaped honors sufficient upon the family he tells of the action of the Binghamton Chapter of the National Assoc. of Cost Accountants which placed him as president of the Chapter. Congratulations and a potholesker from the class to the family.
Horace Kidger of the Newton High School staff published a book in 1940 entitled Problems of American Democracy, Ginn & Company. Another book is reported to be developing at the present. Horace has always been an indefatigable worker but has carried along the dream of the great life on the farm for the future. Last summer the farm was found in central New Hampshire, glorious views, sunsets and all. In the midst of renovations inspiration for further writing was felt and the new book was on its way. Oh the patience these authors' wives must have!
Bolz Fench and his wife have been passing the winter at the Seacrest Hotel, Delray Beach, Fla. Our class agent thus gets into fine fettle for the college fund battle of the spring. The 1903 golfers might also take notice.

The program of the Boston Alumni Assoc. dinner of Feb. 4th attracted a fine attendance from our class. Those present were Vic Cutter, "Cherberk" Edwards, Dana Whipple, Horace Kidger, Charlie Hall, Ned Kenerson, Dick Brown, Orvil Smith, Pip Howard and Ned Burbeck. A personality that was missed and mentioned again and again in conversations of the bunch was that of Meat Hanlon, absent for the first time in many years. Long live the memory of Meat.
