The annual ski race for Cabin and Trail members from Moose cabin over the eight mile tortuous trail to Hanover attracted a field of fourteen, all of whom covered the distance within an hour and a half; the winner, D. Hight '30, breezing in in 57 minutes, and the last three finishing with a broken ski pole, a lost ski pole and a broken harness respectively. We got quite a kick from watching and listening to the contestants just before the beginning of the race. They were discussing the density and texture of the snow with many weighty arguments regarding the mixture of ski waxes that should be used. We listened to these adepts, and refrained from any amateurish suggestions.
From Boston comes the news that the Boston Dartmouth Outing Club (see January issue) now has 170 members and is busy looking for a site for their cabin. Our hat's off to them.
