CLASS OF 1897

The following despatch appeared in the Boston Transcript: "Omaha, Nebraska, February 4. Reverend Benjamin Marshall, pastor of the Piedmont Congregational church, Worcester, Mass., may be selected as the first president of the new Omaha Municipal University. Rev. Dr. Marshall is being considered for the position, and has the backing of the president of Dartmouth, as well as of Dartmouth graduates in Omaha and in many other places.

"Rev. Mr. Marshall was asked by the trustees if he would be interested in the position, and he has made formal application to the board. The Omaha Municipal University has just been established, and will be supported by municipal taxation."
