Many enjoyed the 1913 class party which started with bridge at the Dartmouth Club in New York on March 21. Hayes and Gumbart from New Haven joined Smith, Alden, Ashton, Samuel, Lenfestey, Towler, Meleney, Riley, Stoughton, and Remsen. Dinner followed at the Club Hollywood.
Bull Luhman was on a trip to Omaha, Ted Davis on another cruise in southern waters, Yick Nutt returning from Florida, and Al and Heth Dessau on a vacation trip, so did not make the grade on the 21st.
The Boston representation at the alumni dinner at the Copley Plaza filled one table, but the Saturday night bridge club meetings or the depression, together with some sickness, made the class gathering unusually small.
Those of the class living in Newton, Line Morton, Sherm Ward, Tubby Merrill, and Warde Wilkins as president attended the meeting of the Dartmouth Club of Newton at the Woodland Golf Club on April 1, when the Newton alumni, undergraduates, and those going to Hanover for the first time next fall gathered to hear Craven Laycock, Charlie Donahue '99, and Pete Blodgett '25, with his movies and the Hanover movies.
Peter Ramage Hayes arrived in Orange, Conn., on November 15, 1980, and as the young man was old enough to celebrate Easter Kathleen and Emmett Pishon toured down to spend the week-end with Daddy Chum and Mammy Chris, and Bill and Lucy Gumbart were also among those present.
