Following the reunion Fred Page and HarryFrench left with Harry Wellman, for their fishing trip to Newfoundland. It was cold and the fishing about as usual." No reports yet on what they brought back on July 10.

It is with deep sorrow we record the passing of Don King's wife at St. Paul's School in Concord, N. H., on June 17. Don this summer has been at The Hill School Camp at Wolfeboro, N. H.

Steve and Alice Perry are permanently located at RD #2, Brandon, Vt„ on Route 7 about 1½ miles north of Brandon village. Alice sends word that she enjoyed Hanover more than her own 40th at Northampton this year.

John Joseph Scarry died on Cape Cod on June 23, but received and appreciated the telegram sent from the Class Meeting in Hanover saying we missed him and Dolly at the Reunion. The funeral services were in Dedham, Mass., his old home. Mose Linscott and Warde Wilkins represented the class. Dolly will continue to live at 86 Sea St., Dennisport, Mass. Ben Ames Williams used to tell me back when John Joseph had stories in the S.E. Post that he wished he had John's talent and ability.

Notices at the time of Tubby Merrill's death asked that in place of floral tributes, contributions be sent to the Unitarian Church Sunday School Building Fund. More than $800 has been received to date. May we quote from the engrossed resolution from the Trustees of the Charlestown Savings Bank: "He was a born leader. He had that unusual ability to analyze a problem quickly and decisively. He could express himself clearly and effectively. In the hottest battle of business dealings he would dominate the proceedings by his wise leadership, and how often it was that his good humor and his rapier-like wit would smooth out an othersise tense situation." We all missed him tremendously at the Reunion. The fact that Nat and Barbara Merrill were with us and Henry Jr. called often at the dorm helped a lot.

Ralph Samuel presented to the Baker Library of the College Charles Dickens' annotated copy of Pepys' Diary. The four volumes, published in 1828, and a volume of selected Pepys correspondence contain Dickens' own bookplate and sale labels. A generous gift.

To go back a little: Line and Lucy Wilson's daughter Jane Philbrook was married May 16 at San Mateo, Calif., to Charles Michael Shaw. Mike is with the National Bank of San Mateo and they will live in San Mateo.

This spring Nor and Dot Catterall took a 7000-mile trip through the country to San Francisco, finding enroute the Joe Cheneys in Florida and talked with Andy Comstock in Los Angeles. They saw quite a lot of Line and Lucy Wilson in Frisco and then headed east to make the reunion on the Thursday before the start.

Bart and Renza Shepard returned from their cross-country trip to San Francisco and then on to Hawaii in time for the Reunion.

Earle Bidwell reports that Bruce in June was at Tripoli on his way to Ankara, Turkey, said he would visit Athens, Rome, Venice, Paris and cities in Austria and Germany before starting home. He will spend a few days in Hartford before returning to West Point for his last year. Those of you planning on the West Point game October 10 will find Bid and Marge in town.

Our new V. P., Jack Macdonald, returned to Wiesbaden, Germany, after the reunion, where he had left the family for his air trip to and from Hanover to be with us. Wiesbaden is the best place he has been in Europe yet and the Germans have made a great comeback. He hopes to return to the States in December with his family.

President Haru McClary and his wife with daughter Susan finished their month's trip East and are back in Cedar Rapids. The feminine side of the family were in Washington, D. C., during the reunion. Harv spent some time on Cape Cod before returning to Windsor and Montpelier in June.

The secretary in August was on his summer Opera Broadcast Tour — Texaco gasoline only to and from Ragged Mt. calling on or visiting the Howard Balls in Claremont and at their remodeled farm, The Crest, with the beautiful views at Unity, N. H. Then to Greensboro, Vt., to the Broinla Farm of Henry "Hank" Merrill Jr. T.D. and MarianJewett were found in Laconia as usual and the Fred Hoveys near Keene, N. H., and the Steve Perrys at Brandon, Vt. Marian had just returned from an appendectomy at the Laconia Hospital.

Call George Knight or the secretary about the Class Dinner plans with 1914 and 1915 October 23, the Night Before the Harvard Game, probably at the University Club, Boston.
