The customary generous bouquet of lecturers was offered Hanover during the last month. Will Durant disappointed by presenting only his views on the Indian situation, and the immediate proximity of Maurice Hindus drew a crowd to hear Durant which was more curious than interested. Hindus attracted one of the largest crowds of the year, and paid fully for the attention given him by outlining the Russian situation clearly and completely. Senator David Walsh spoke on the new Progressives a short while later. The diplomatic service,, a branch of the government which is rapidly gaining more undergraduate interest, was explained in an entertaining talk by J. T. Marriner '14. In addition to these men, there were several other speakers who spoke to closed groups. The attendance at lectures in Hanover is almost always large. There can be no other explanation for this, we think, than that the scorned intellectual curiosity of the student body is a good bit more active than it is ever considered to be.
