Another example of the lethargy which seems to be sweeping the campus was evident in the microscopic size of the group of sophomores who turned out to repel the rush of the freshman horde in the annual football tug of war on the campus. Through experience and craftiness, the sophomores made the best showing in years and the 1936 men won the decision only through the weight of numbers.

Although physically lazy, the class of 1935 displayed surprising mental vigor of an unbelievably salacious turn in their direction of the Delta Alpha parade which yearly precedes the Norwich football game. Several supposedly hardy upperclassmen were seen to lower their eyes and blush furiously as some of the more sensational exhibits passed before the stands. It is reported that one Smith girl was carried fainting from the arena, but this statement could not be verified at press time. Either the parade will have to be more severely censored or the female element will have to be excluded. These are the alternatives as this fairly broadminded department sees them.
