Important in the fraternity life of the College was the dedication last month of the splendid new Sigma Chi house on Webster Avenue on the site of the old building which burned in the disastrous fire of last year. Of Colonial red brick style and elegantly furnished, it is an important addition to "Fraternity Row."
Incidentally, another addition to the Webster Avenue buildings is gradually making its presence felt across the street, where the new Beta Theta Pi house is slowly taking shape.
The surprising listlessness which has grown up in the past few years and which was noted last year in connection with the junior class elections has cropped out again this year with the fall Green Key elections. It took over five days of balloting for the class of 1934 to name eleven men to this honor. It is very difficult for us to envisage a reason for this lack of interest. Perhaps it is the notorious weltschmerz or mal desiecle which is running rampant in this post war world where nothing suits. Ah life, life.
