Dean Craven Laycock will this year attend a number of alumni dinners in the east and middle west. Alternating with President Hopkins the Dean has visited many alumni clubs during the past few years. He will start his trip on February 11, speaking the following night at Albany. On the next day, February IS, he will go to Buffalo where he will speak that evening to the alumni of Western New York. Dean Laycock will meet with two large groups of alumni the next week. On February 16 he will address the Dartmouth men of Cleveland and on February 18 he will be the guest and speaker of the Dartmouth Club of Detroit.
The annual dinner of the Chicago Association will be held the evening of February 23 when the Dean will address the alumni there. His journey westward will continue February 25 when he will speak before the Alumni Association of Wisconsin at the annual dinner in Milwaukee. The Minneapolis alumni will gather to greet him Saturday evening, February 27, and the Dean will attend an alumni dinner at Omaha, February 29.
The "Great Divide" Association, covering a large territory in the Rockies, will meet with Dean Laycock Thursday evening, March 3, at Denver. The final dinner of his trip will be held at St. Louis the evening of March 7. Following this meeting Dean Laycock will return direct to Hanover.
Two annual meetings in New England are entertaining Dean Laycock as principal guest and speaker. The alumni of Hartford heard him January 28. He will also speak at the annual gathering of the Dartmouth men of Manchester, N. H., at a date as yet undecided.
Dean E. Gordon Bill, director of admissions and dean of freshmen, will speak before several alumni associations during the winter. His itinerary for February includes the associations listed below, before whom he will speak on the following evenings: Pittsburgh February 24 Harrisburg February 25 Philadelphia February 27
Dean Bill will bring to these associations general news from the College and especially as concerns his work with admissions and the freshman class. The latest release of two reels of Dartmouth 16mm. movies will also be shown at these dinners.
