The news that Edward Tuck '62, Dartmouth's greatest single benefactor, who is now in his ninetieth year, had almost completely recovered from an illness of several weeks came in a cablegram from RueilMalmaison January 1. Mr. Tuck was taken ill with catarrhal grippe and bronchitis in November and was prevented from making his usual winter move from Paris to Monte Carlo by more than a month. The recent cablegram carried the information that Mr. Tuck was "about well" and planning to go south the following week.
