Ballots will shortly go out to all alumni of more than three years' standing for the annual election to the Alumni Council from the Central States district. Owing to the fact that only one nomination was made from each of the other four districts, there is a contest for election in the Central States district only. Polls close June 10 and voters are urged to return their ballots to the secretary of the alumni association at once.
In the Central States district the following two alumni have been nominated and their names will appear on the election ballots: William H. Bemis '18, Cleveland, Ohio; Ford H. Whelden '25, Detroit, Michigan.
In the New England States district Arthur A. Adams '94 of Springfield, Massachusetts was the only nominee. He will therefore succeed himself as a member of the Council for three years beginning July 1, 1932.
In the Middle and Southern States district Richard Remsen '12 of New York city was the only nominee. He will therefore succeed himself as a member of the Council for three years beginning July 1, 1932.
In the Western States district William A. Green Jr. '14 of Dallas, Texas was the only man nominated. He will therefore succeed Warren S. Carter '1O of St. Paul at the expiration of the latter's term July 1, 1932.
In the Rocky Mountain and Pacific states district Frank J. Reagan '09 of San Francisco received the only nomination. In accepting this nomination, therefore, he will succeed Edgar W. Hiestand '1O of Atlanta, Georgia, at the expiration of the latter's term July 1, 1932.
Notification of nominations in the four districts where nomination was equivalent to election since only one nominee was chosen are being sent to all alumni residing within those districts.
