With the blooming success of this year's Green Key Promenade, which was held on the week-end of March 5th, it is virtually assured that it will hereafter be a regular function. Before administrative measures had removed Spring dances from the calendar, the dance was conducted mostly for the benefit of the freshmen, whose social activities were, it was thought, too much limited during these weary months. However, this year under fine management the affair came forth in its true colours, and the college turned out en masse to make it a success. The Gymnasium was gaily decorated in green, the omnipresent Spud Bray and his corps of regulars were there to take hands with our own Denny in the war against juvenile crime and vice, and smirking freshmen turned, for the night, into sleek men about town. The highlight of the evening was, of course (hadn't you heard?), the broadcasting of a part of the program over the Lucky Strike dance hour, with incidental entertainment furnished by Jack Shea, of Olympic renown, and Bill Hoffman, footballer and wrestler.
Nor was this all. Saturday was liberally sprinkled with events for old and young. The afternoon was spent watching some of Professor Eddie Shevlin's fisticuffers mix it with some other like people, and Gus Sonnenberg and friend put on a few ferocious heroics. Then there was a gym meet, and last, and because it was not at all least, we take pleasure in telling you of the production of
