Meetings of Secretaries
APRIL 1932

According to the custom established with the foundation of the Dartmouth Secretaries Association in 1905 all such representatives of classes and alumni clubs are invited to Hanover as guests of the College for the annual meetings of the Association which will be held this year May 6 and 7. President Hopkins will be the principal speaker on the two-day program. He will address the secretaries at their dinner Friday evening, May 6.

The secretaries will be welcomed to Hanover at an afternoon reception May 6 following which the first business session will be called to order by Warde Wilkins '13, president of the Association.

Tentative plans for the business program call for a number of reports. W. J. Minsch '07, chairman of the Alumni Council com- mittee on the Alumni Fund, will speak on the subject of the Fund, outlining the progress of the campaign up to that time. F. W. Andres, secretary of the class of '29, will report on the question of holding third year reunions. J. R. Burleigh '14, a representative of the Association on the Alumni Council, will speak on the work of the Council. Class records as maintained by secretaries will be the subject of a discussion to be led by A. I. Dickerson '30. A member of the Dartmouth athletic council will discuss the subject of athletics and it is expected" that one of the club secretaries will talk on the value of the publication of Club Bulletins as an aid in the work of associations.

John M. Comstock '77 heads a committee for honoring the "best secretary." The other members of the committee in charge of the prize award are Miss Charlotte Ford, alumni recorder, and S. C. Hayward, secretary of the Association.

The year's release of Dartmouth College News, movie service sponsored by the Secretaries Association, will be shown following an informal dinner at the Outing Club House, Saturday evening.

League baseball games with Pennsylvania and Yale are scheduled for May 6 and 7. Other athletic events and the availability of Hilton Field for golf offer recreational activity to visiting secretaries. A complete program of events will be sent to all members of the Association.
