The annual business meeting and dinner of the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Philadelphia was held at the Hotel Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, February 27, 1932.

The guest speakers were Dean E. Gordon Bill, director of admissions and dean of freshmen, and D. Basil O'Connor '12, president of the New York Dartmouth Alumni Association. Dean Bill spoke on the Selective Process and made a plea for a less restricted curriculum in the freshman year in American colleges. D. Basil O'Connor told those present that the United States has been on an economic and intellectual drunk for the last ten years and that the educational institutions must do their share in effecting a return to normal.

The dinner was well attended, there being eighty present and several more came later for the speeches and movies.

The following officers were elected to serve during the year 1932: President: Bruce Ludgate '17. Vice-President: Gordon Crouter '25. Treasurer: Donald Rogers '2O. Secretary: Harlan P. Statzell Jr. '25. Executive Committee: Robert Griffin '17, Jack McAvoy '2B, Herman Davidson '14, and officers. Student Aid: E. N. McMillan '01, Chas. F. Conn '87, S. S. Rutherford 'OB, Thornton Pray '15, George Scott '29, and president and treasurer of the Club.

Two reels of college movies were shown. A proposal was made that the Dartmouth Alumni of Philadelphia join the Cornell Club as associate members, on the suggestion made by the Cornell Club. The matter was presented to those present by H. Davidson, president, and upon motion of E. N. McMillan was referred to the executive committee.
