CLASS OF 1903
MAY 1932 Dr. Edward K. Burbeck

John Pray Wadham, president of the Central Pennsylvania (Dartmouth) Club, presided over the annual dinner held in Harrisburg on February 25.

Prof. Ernest R. Groves of the University of North Carolina is a member of the committee of the Federal Council of the Churches of Christ in America which recently reported its investigation of the subject of "Marriage and the Home."

John Swenson, son of Omar 'O3, has been elected by the senior class to give the Old Pine Address at Commencement.

The chance remark of a friend brought forth the fact that Ellen R. McManus, wife of James McManus of Lawrence, Mass., died lait July 24 at her home, 17 Ryran Ave. The class extends its sincere sympathy to Jim and his daughter Helen.

Miss Alice Newell, daughter of Mrs. A. H. Newell of Derry, N. H., is attending Lasell Junior College in Auburndale, Mass.

The James B. Richardson Fellowship was this year divided between A. W. Levi Jr. '32 and F. K. Watson 'SO. Fred Watson has been a graduate student and instructor in chemistry since his graduation, and will now study organic chemistry at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Harry, father of Fred and a lawyer of some considerable standing in New Hampshire, was that longgeared fellow of freshman days known as class monitor who recorded your attendance at church, chapel, and class-room. Later Harry was honored by the class and presented with an empty tin box and requested to fill it with the coin of the realm from the pockets of his classmates. This duty was rigorously performed, as any Potholesker will testify. Congratulations on the record of your son, and pass on a goodly share to Beatrice.

Ned Kenerson has written a long letter of a few lines recording his attendance at the National Education Association meeting in Washington, D. C. The high spot of the visit was a dinner at the home of Mous and Evelyn Avery, with no lesser personages present than Andy Perham, Charlie Webb, Tink Erwin, and Ned. Imagine the talk-fest, fellers. Evelyn has our sympathy for entertaining that select 1903 aggregation of silvertongued Dartmouth talkers. Chas. and Andy are due in Hanover in June, 1933, and after such inspiration I'll wager they will both be there.
