The Pitching Staff
MAY 1932 H. H. Hubbard '32

The pitching staff is helped along by George Edwards, Fred Prince and young Davis, Shorty's nephew. Edwards and Prince both played junior varsity baseball last year, but with the abandonment of that group they are now with the varsity squad. Davis has shown a world of stuff in practise and with a little control is going to be taking his turn some day.

Haven't any idea when the team will get out on the field. Even a liberal covering of hay and straw which stayed on all Winter had little effect against the sort of weather we have been going through and the only appreciable change was a sudden burst of green grass when the covering was lifted. But green grass is good to look at only and everyone is concerned with those base paths and the pitcher's box.
