The Secretary attended the recent secretaries' meeting, and was fortunate in spending some time with Dan Richardson, who is in active retirement in Hanover, and reported the marriage, of his daughter, Mary Elizabeth, to John Desmond Evans, son of Mrs. Lidie H. Evans, of 272 Midland Ave., Montclair, the marriage taking place on Saturday evening, April 30, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. David Evans, 141 Cooper Ave., brother and sister-in-law of the groom. Bishop Walter T. Sumner of Oregon, who married the bride's parents, was the officiating clergyman. The bride wore her mother's wedding dress of chiffon organdie trimmed with lace. It is also understood that Dan himself wore the dress-suit in which he was married.
Dan and the Secretary had very pleasant calls on two of our former professors, "Bubby" Bartlett and "Dude" Colby.
Classmates will be interested to know that on the return trip the Secretary had a most enjoyable call on Dr. and Mrs. George M. Watson in Manchester, finding them both in good health and proud grandparents of a little one, three months old.
Robert Lincoln O'Brien, chairman of the tariff commission, made the main address in Abington, Mass., his native town, at the dedication of the new library, of which he is a trustee. .
