Harry W. Chase, who last spring was elected president of the New York University, has taken up his duties there as of July l. His address is the Chancellor's Office, New York University, Washington Square, New York City. The Rev. Henry K. Pierce is now residing at Via del Plebiscite, 107, Rome (1), Italy.

Mrs. J. Hawley Spencer of Albemarle Ave. has announced the engagement of her daughter, Barbara Ware Spencer, to Richard Weston Davis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Davis of Springfield, Mass.

A letter from John S. Fletcher states that his son graduated from the University of Chattanooga last June, and his eldest daughter is teaching in the Indian Government School of the Hopi Indian Reservation. He states in his letter that a short time ago he received a visit from Bill Roby, who has been employed as consulting engineer in connection with the work on Muscle Shoals and the President's plan for the development of the Tennessee valley.

The Marshall House, York Harbor, Me., has been the scene of considerable activity this summer. They have efitertained a large number of members of the New England Council, and among the season's guests was the assistant secretary of the navy, Henry L. Roosevelt and family.

The weekly luncheon of the class is still being carried on at the Boston Chamber of Commerce Building on Thursday of each week. The class is reminded of this gettogether luncheon, and the Secretary hopes that many of the members of the class will make it a point to drop in on these informal gatherings.

In another section of the magazine, the class will read of the death of Gordon Bennett Frost, on May gg, 1933, at his home in Cleveland, Ohio. Some of the members of the class may want to contact his family, and the address is 2654 Moreland Boulevard, Cleveland, Ohio.

The Secretary received a very interesting letter from Cloyd T, Maynard, Rumford, Me. He states that his son Ralph has been taking a post-graduate course in mechanical engineering at Poly-Tech, Worcester, Mass. It may be of interest to the class to know that Ralph just missed graduating with his class in 1931 at Dartmouth, but that through his efforts the following year he made up the work required and was granted his degree in June, 1932.

The class is urged to subscribe to the ALUMNI MAGAZINE and to forward to the Secretary as often as possible any interesting news items with reference to any of the members of the class. The class notes constitute the most valuable part of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE and your contribution to this column will be greatly appreciated by the Secretary.

Secretary, c/o Tifft Bros., 1387 Main St., Springfield, Mass.
