Dr. Harry Woodburn Chase, new chancellor of New York University, was wel- corned to his post, October 2, by administrative officers, faculty, and student representatives. His formal inauguration as the university's eighth chancellor will take place at the Commencement exercises next June. Dr. Herman H. Home, professor of history and philosophy of education at the University's School of Commerce, welcomed Dr. Chase in behalf of the faculty. Dr. Home recalled that, thirty years ago, Dr. Chase was an undergraduate at Dartmouth College and a student in some of his classes.
Mrs. Johnson and the Secretary took a short trip into Maine this past month and made considerable effort to contact several members of the class along the way—Elmer Brennon, Dr. Edward Laskey, Tom Uniac, Gil Moulton, Gene Sewall, Cloyd Maynard, Freddie Poor, Horace Nelson, and Tinker Gale. In some cases he was successful.
Fred Poor of Belfast, Me., is a successful druggist there. Gil and Tinker report fair hotel business.
The Secretary went to the base of Mt. Washington to see Myron Witham, but just missed him. Henry Teague was in charge and stated Myron had left for Boston to attend the funeral of Joe Gilman. Myron is again teaching this year at the University of Vermont.
The new address of Capt. B. H. Hinman is 65 Griggs Road, Brookline, Mass.
The class will hold its usual round-up the night before the Harvard game, and as many of the class as can make it are urged to be present. Plans for the 30th reunion will be outlined.
