Leaves of Absence Leave of absence for the entire academic year has been granted by the Trustees to the following members of the faculty: Joseph B. Folger Jr., assistant professor of Spanish; Harold J. Lockwood, professor of Power Engineering, Thayer School; Raymond R. Marsden, dean of the Thayer School; William D. Maynard, assistant professor of Romance Languages; Edwin Powers, assistant professor of Psychology; William J. Rose, assistant professor of Sociology; and Nelson L. Smith, assistant professor of Economics.

Leave of absence for the second semester has been granted to Edwin D. Harvey, assistant professor of Sociology.

Members of the faculty who have returned from leave of absence for the entire past year are: William W. Ballard, instructor in Zoology; C. Dean Chamberlin, instructor in English; Henry M. Dargan, professor of English; Lawrence B. Leighton, instructor in Greek and Latin; Frederic P. Lord, professor of Anatomy in the Medical School; Frederick K. Sparrow Jr., instructor in Evolution; and Herbert F. West, assistant professor of Comparative Literature.

Members of the faculty who have returned from leave for the second semester of last year are: Charles R. Bagley, professor of French; A. Heywood Knowlton, assistant professor of Romance Languages; Royal C. Nemiah, professor of Greek and Latin; Charles A. Proctor, professor of Physics; and John B. Stearns, professor of Greek and Latin.
