Among the array of artists, athletes and intellectuals joining the Dartmouth family this fall are:

• A visual and performing artist from Wolcott,'Vermont, who has spent the last three years touring with the professional dance troupe, Momix. He's also building his own chapel by hand out of stone.

• A legacy, raised on a kibbutz, who has spent the last five years with Israel's naval commandos the prestigious anti-terrorist force.

• A field-hockey star from Peru who not only played in the Pan-American games but also graduated first in her class She is also said to be Peru's best junior water skier.

• A Texan touted as the nation's top high-school debater.

Although precise numbers won't be available until matriculation in September, the Admissions Office predicted early in the summer that the class of 1993 will number 1,050. Women will compose 44 percent of the class— down slighdy from last year. Minority enrollment, at 18 percent, is down from the class of 1992's 23 percent.
