Professor E. J. Just, head of the department of physiology at Howard University, has been awarded the Spingarn medal for researches in biology. This medal, awarded annually for the highest achievement by a Negro in any field of human endeavor, has been bestowed twice for achievement in science.
It is reported that "Rocky" Hazen is now connected with J. & W. Seligman & Company of New York. We hope he will write the Secretary about his new activity.

"My story is not a long one. I am stillwith Brown Shoe Company, as you can see,engaged in the praiseworthy task of tryingto make the whole world know about Buster Brown and Brownbilt Shoes. We haveone son, 6½ years old, so it will be quitesome time before he will enter Dartmouth.
"I saw Dick Southgate and Harry Wellman at Hanover, when I stopped off for acouple of days to look over thmgs, a yearand a half ago. Mrs. White and I were veryanxious to attend the reunion last June,but on account of our semi-annual salestrip coming up at that time, I had to spendthe reunion days in Dallas and New Orleans, and was it hot! I certainly envied youfellows in the cool air of New Hampshire."
Kitch is said to have met Joe Mahoney recently in Denver. Classmates will be glad to hear from both Kitch and Joe.
N. H. Knight, Art Taylor, J. V. Jewett, and Cliff Norris are all engaged in teaching in or near Boston.
It is reported that Walter Andrews has been connected since December 1 with the United Mutual Insurance Company, Park Square Building, Boston.
Ted Richardson is the envy of all his friends whose jobs are uncertain or nonexistent. He has been a juror in the Norfolk County Court during January and February.
Mr. and Mrs. Norman Cushman are reported to be spending a winter vacation somewhere in the White Mountains.
