Class of 1875

Mrs. Ellen Tuck Stevens, wife of the Secretary, died April 29 at their home in Concord, at the age of 76. She was born in Peekskill, N. Y., the daughter of William Rufus and Abbie E. (Tuck) Nelson. Amos Tuck '35, a leading citizen of New Hampshire during the period prior to the Civil War, was her grandfather, and Edward Tuck '62, the benefactor of the College, is her uncle. A sister survives her, Miss Laura Nelson of Exeter. She had been for many years a member of St. Paul's Episcopal church.
