Plans for a Dartmouth summer camp for city children from the slum districts are being drawn up by a student committee. The camp will be conducted entirely by Dartmouth undergraduates with a faculty director. Camp sites are available on lakes Masacoma, Winnepesaukee, and Morey, but no definite selection has yet been made.
The new organization, modelled somewhat after that at Princeton, plans to give under-privileged boys, obtained through settlement houses in Boston and Manchester, a few weeks' vacation in the New Hampshire hills. A camp fund will be started and a call will be issued for undergraduate heelers.
The student committee is composed of R. G. Woodard '33, Owosso, Mich.; P. T. Hart '33, Medford, Mass.; C. Lippe, New York City; C. W. Mills '35, Worcester, Mass.; and N. B. Sherry '35, Troy, N. Y.
