Peabody has made a photographic tour through the Southwest, visiting national parks, the Grand Canyon, and on the way calling on Woods at Norwalk, Calif.

In a letter published in the Boston Herald of July 25, Thayer noted with surprise that in disputes between capital and labor the editors of religious publications almost invariably expressed sympathy with labor; and he proceeded by outlining the service rendered by capitalists through their administrative ability to investors of all classes. The letter caused comment, public and personal. Thayer had more than a dozen letters, mainly sympathetic, but two unsigned and critical almost to the point of abuse.

Hill purposes another winter of library work in California, this time in connection with Leland Stanford University.

Mrs. Gale, with her son, Waterville, Quebec, called on the Secretary at Dublin, N. H. She keeps in mind the 6oth, in 1936, which she plans to attend.
