Freshman Cross-Country

Harvey Cohn's freshman cross-country team defeated Concord High School 36-19, in its only dual meet of the year. Captain Wyckoff broke his own record for the 21/2-mile course, lowering the mark by three seconds with a time of 13 minutes, 4 seconds. The race was marred by a locked gate, through which the runners were to pass into Memorial Field. Although in the lead at the time, Wyckoff allowed the Concord captain to pass through first, when the gate had been opened.
