With Washington's Birthday in the offing and the best winter weather that Hanover has seen in three years, plans for the annual Alumni Carnival week-end have been announced under the joint auspices of the Hanover Inn and the Dartmouth Outing Club.
The Carnival spirit has always been most rampant at the feeds and gymnkanas at Moose cabins. This year will see the transplanting of the ancient rites to that typically Dartmouth haunt, Mt. Moosilauke, where in the midst of a xooo acre reserve the newly organized Dartmouth Alumni Outing Club has opened its Ravine Camp. Here will be a hearty open house for all Dartmouth alumni and friends and skiing to suit all types and desires. Buses will leave the Inn Sunday morning and visitors will proceed from the Moosilaukee Inn to the Ravine Camp to the foot of the trail, where in the midst of the ski events the noon meal will be served in true barbecue style. Coach Otto Schniebs will be master of ceremonies and J. W. McCrillis 'l9 has arranged a program which includes slalom races for all the family from the undergraduates' championship to those for alumni, ladies, and children.
The rest of the program follows somewhat closely those of previous years, featuring the Hanover Children's Carnival sponsored by the D. O. C., the hockey and basketball games with Princeton and Columbia respectively, so say nothing of social activities at the Inn. Further information may be obtained from the Hanover Inn.
