Dean Bacon reported in April as recovering from an atack of intestinal grippe. He does not recommend the disease to his friends. His daughter Dorothy was booked for a trip in June to Germany, France, and England. Betsey will continue her research work.

The Claremont (Calif.) paper carried an article this spring by Dr. Brackett on the New Deal to date, supplementing his Armistice Day address on the same topic last fall. Later on the death of Albert, king of the Belgians, he delivered an address in eulogy of that monarch, with reminiscences of his own experiences in Belgium during the late war.

Brackett's younger son Parkhurst is employed at one of the Hollywood studios as sound technician.

Classmate Charles C. Gardner passed away on April 22, presumably at his home in Kirksville, Mo. An obituary notice appears elsewhere.
