PHILIP GUYOL '35 (sometime member of '27) suggests a way to beat Yale. He says that the slogan this fall should be "Don't beat Yale!" When Coach Blaik addresses the student body assembled in Webster Hall, his remarks should take the following line:

"What ever we do next Saturday, we willnot beat Yale. Dartmouth has never beatenYale and it is one of the oldest traditionsof both institutions. There is a lot of talkabout 'letting the old traditions fail,' butthis is one tradition that the boys on thatteam will not let die. It means a lot toDartmouth, but it means more to Yale. Wemust consider the boys in New Haven, andfrom all points of view I think it is wiseto tell you, the undergraduates of OldDartmouth, as I shall tell my team beforethe game Saturday—Don't beat Yale!

"And I want to say one thing more,Iam betting all my money on Yale!"
