ELECTION of Richard N. Funkhouser '40 of Hagerstown, Md., as president of the General Association of Alumni of Dartmouth College for 1964-65 was announced at the annual Commencement Luncheon in the Leverone Field House on June 13.

Mr. Funkhouser is vice president of The Ruberoid Company of New York and serves as general manager of the Funkhouser Mills division of the company, a leading producer of building materials. He is also president of Har-Tru Corporation, a director of Blue Ridge Fire Insurance Co., and a vice president of Goodwill Industries, all of Hagers-town.

A member of the executive committee of the Class of 1940, Mr. Funkhouser was a member of the sponsoring committee for Dartmouth's Capital Gifts Campaign. He also has been active in alumni work for Mercersburg Academy.

Other Alumni Association officers elected for 1964-65 include three vice presidents: Charles E. Griffith '15 of Norwich, Vt.; Harrison F. Dunning '30 of Chester, Pa.; and Howard W. Megee '25 of Detroit, Mich.; and the secretary-treasurer, Sidney C. Hayward '26 of Hanover.

Rupert C. Thompson Jr. '28 of Providence, R. I., was reelected chairman of the Association's executive committee, whose other members are Gerard Swope Jr. '29, New York City; Basil F. Austin '31, West Hartford, Conn.; Robert C. Rooke '49, Morristown, N. J.; James D. Vail '50, Charlotte, N. C.; Paul R. Staley '51, Westfield, N. J.; and Charles L. Greenebaum '55, New York City.
