The busy schedule of the Dartmouth Association of the Great Divide began in August with the annual picnic at the Littleton ranch belonging to Ned Grant ’64. Planned by Vice President for Activities Dave Abbot ’69, and by Anne Upton’76 and John Upton ’75, the event was attended by over 100 people. Then, true green spectator enthusiasm was tapped October 15 when Seymour Wheelock III ’70 hosted over 20 eager football fans for the Harvard game via a telephone connection with WDCR/FRD.

A 1 Rheen ’7l organized a luncheon meeting on October 17 with Physics Professor Albert Bartlett, who spoke on “The Forgotten Fun- damentals of the Energy Crisis.” Next, the Association was graced with a welcome visit by Assistant Director of Admissions RichardJaeger ’59 on October 26-27, He spent an even- ing speaking to high school students, their parents, and college counselors, met at a luncheon with the club’s officers, and met with club enrollment workers who are led by officers Evan Lasky '63 and Tom Sisk ’73.

On November 18 theater-goers attended the musical She Loves Me at the Theatre Under Glass in Denver, where Laura Cuetara ’74, director, was hostess. The Dartmouth Cup Race was held at Vail December 10-11 and a gather- ing of graduates, organized by Tom Sisk ’73 and Jim Eversen ’7O, was held after the first day’s race. The annual cocktail party was set for December 14 at the Denver Country Club, spon- sored by Kent Rickenbaugh ’59, and numerous events were to follow: A talk by Alumni Coun- cilor Bob Montgomery ’56 on January 12, a visit by Dartmouth Professor of Music Emeritus Jim Sykes on February 26, an alumni seminar in the spring, and a visit with a speaker from the College at the annual dinner.

President Hank Elder '53 wishes to extend an invitation to any other clubs traveling to the area for ski vacations. Perhaps a gathering could be arranged with our club!
