The class will be deeply grieved over the death of one of its most beloved wives, Ethel Remsen, who passed away at her home in Hudson Falls, as the result of an infection of the ear, on the 15th of October. The love and enthusiasm Ethel had for this class was often plainly shown, and her presence added a great deal to all its gatherings. Who will ever forget her attendance at the 20th reunion in spite of the handicap of a broken ankle, her enjoyment of every item of a full program, including the picnic at Cube Mountain? Her ready smile and pleasant manner, her cordial greetings, endeared her to one and all, and she will be greatly missed by all her friends. All our hearts go out to Tommie and the two children in their loss of a wonderful wife and mother.

The interment services were in Greenwood Cemetery, Brooklyn, and the class was represented by Joe Raphael and his sister, and Pearl and Eliot Bishop.

Football games this fall have been the occasion of two happy class gatherings. The first at Providence, October 19, after the Brown game, at the home of Henry and Lucia Salomon, "the perfect hosts" as some one said, where the door is always open and good cheer ever present. Those present included the Wards, the Coxs, the Taylors, the "Hoppys," the Hathaways, the Jim Kimballs, and Howard Hall and son Kim.

Alma Ward arranged for the gathering after the Harvard game, this year at the Algonquin Club, and all said it was one of the most enjoyable class gatherings ever. Everyone had a good time, and often the talk turned to June and the next reunion. These family affairs certainly make for class unity, and it is good to have the younger members of the 1901, family drop in to say "hello" to the old folks. Warren Bishop and friend came in to greet his father's classmates. Florence Gene (Ward) Orr was in for a short while; Louie Crone's daughter and her husband Dan Doan, Dartmouth '36, were there with Louie and his wife. Eleanor and Lucille Hathaway came down to be there with Skunk and Mrs. Others in attendance were Jim and Floss Kimball, Henry and Mildred Taylor, Steve and Beth Stevens, Jack and Edith Andrews, Chan and Mae Cox, Johnnie and Alma Ward, Bill and Mrs. Bryant, Hoppy and Celia, and Deacon Hildreth and guest.
