THE CHECK PAYS for one "mountain membership" in Dartmouth at Moosilauke, and buys one acre of land there, an opportunity and privilege which is open to anyone. The officers of the Dartmouth Alumni Outing Club, whose headquarters is Moosilauke, have been communicating with some hundreds of Dartmouth men in recent weeks, soliciting their contributions to the end that more land might be purchased on the mountain. It is their ambi: tion to increase the holdings of the College up there year by year until the time when, perhaps, it may be truly said that "Dartmouth owns a mountain!" All of the trails, cabins, and shelters in this tract of glorious wilderness are now supervised or owned by Dartmouth groups. The principal yearround camp up in Jobildunk Ravine has been filled to capacity (30) during all of this present snow season. This is the so-called "Ravine Camp" where comfortable quarters, good food, and an impressive expanse of skiing terrain are all available at a moderate daily rate.
