Owing to the rigors of the New England climate, Rooster Johnson has discontinued temporarily archeological explorations in his back yard, and with Mrs. Johnson spent January visiting friends in Massachusetts, New York, and elsewhere. Work will be resumed with the spring thaws.

Waldo White and wife, accompanied by a friend, made an automobile tour through Florida during January, calling on the Secretary at Nokomis, who had a delightful evening with them. They planned later to look up Corwin at West Tampa and Bill Wentworth at his hotel, Lakeside Inn, Mt. Dora.

The Secretary on his way south had a pleasant call with Dean Bacon at Tufts College, and found the Dean and family all well.
