Class of 1894

Archie Matthews is traveling around the Caribbean Sea, and is getting his inspiration from Phil Marden's "Sailing South." Thus is the interdependence and unity of the class demonstrated.

Maurice S. Sherman delivered the Bromley lecture on journalism at Yale, concerning which the following clipping appears:

"The days of the hard and fast political party organ in newspaperdom are numbered, according to Maurice S. Sherman, editor of the Hartford Courant, who declared that it is a 'blessed thing for journalism and the public it serves.' "
