The Club's winter activities have been and still are in full swing. During March the calendar was full. On the 12th all members of the Club were invited to attend a dinner meeting of the Tuity Club, Groton fish and game organization, at which Pete Blodgett '25 and officials of the State conservation department spoke. On the 13th the Club held its second annual dinner dance at the fashionable Barclay Club in Boston, which was well patronized. The publication of The Wail added greatly to the jollity of the occasion. On the 17th the Club cooperated with the Boston Alumni Association in scheduling the "Flying Yankee" special train to Moosilauke for a day of skiing. Every place on the train was sold out two weeks in advance. As usual during the month, one Sunday afternoon was devoted to a smoke talk at the cabin with light refreshments following. This month's speaker was Henry Parkman Jr., and the date March 24.
For April the program includes numerous good times at the cabin. Over the week-end of the 6th a mixed housecleaning party is scheduled. This affair will be partly devoted to cleaning the house and grounds in preparation for the spring house party on the 19th and partly just for fun and good fellowship. Last year at a similar party much work and a very good time was had by all. The 19th of April falling on Friday this year makes this an ideal time for our spring house party. Definite plans will be made later. The Sunday smoke talk will be held on the 28th, which rounds out the month's activities.
The "Dartmouth Snowbird" run February 17, was a great success and in spite of the falling snow which made the skiing slow, the 300 people who took advantage of it were well repaid by a jolly day. Our own Don Wilbur somehow managed to garner the coveted prize offered by the Club to the man making the "most glorious spill" of the day.
