DO YOU REMEMBER the pulp VVOOd logs in the river after the ice had gone out? And the log jam every year at the bridge? Perennial question: Would the bridge go out this year?

The baseball squad had no southern trip so spent the vacation at Andover Spring football practice began April 18th, under the direction of Ex-Capt. Tobin with the assistance of Capt. Jack Marks and Tom Keady Second "pseudo meet" held on Alumni Oval, Noyes '11 "running in rare form" did the mile in 4.37.1 Lovejoy starred in the shot 39' 6" and Sherman ran the 100 in 10.2. Seaver, "after several went through the hurdles in 17.2" and Pete Seidler made the same time.

. . . . Freshman baseball on the campus, Morey, Scully and Olsen, pitchers; Alden, Pfau and Nolan behind the bat; Bennett, Ist base; Bigelow and Harlow, 2nd base; Reed and Art Johnson, for 3rd; Healey, Nutt and Pishon, short; with Bill Mason, Barends, Olsen, Laird and Fishel, outfield.

Duck boards, on the campus when we returned from vacation, were removed.

.... Mose Linscott unable to reach Hanover on his motorcycle on account of the spring mud, but after leaving it in Claremont a week was able to make the trip. Ben Adams' Stoddard Dayton, only car in College, also out on the road.

Work on Oedipus Tyrannus, the Greek play, continued.

In the class meet new records were made by Russ Palmer of 6' 1" in the high jump, Coke Holdman 11' 9" in pole vault and Tilley 144' 614" in the hammer throw. 1913 was third with 33 points; Wilkins, 2nd in the 100; Nichols, 2nd and Shepard, 3rd in the 220; French, 3rd in the 2-mile; Seidler tied for Ist in high hurdles, and Seidler Ist and Wright 3rd in low hurdles; Enright, 2nd and Mason, 3rd in high jump; Buck and Wright tied for 2nd in pole vault; Tilley, Ist in hammer, and Joyce, Ist in discus Freshman tennis squad—Hugus, Healey, S. P. Tuck, Aronowitz, Gannon, Gulick, Blumenthal, More, Nelson, Buffum, G. L. Foster, McDaniels, Fischer, Seaman, Taylor, Randall, Crawford and Stanwood.
