On a recent trip to New York and New Jersey the Secretary had the pleasure of a few minutes' conversation with Sq. Little at Letchworth Village, but was unable to accept his hospitality for the night. Dr. Little said his mother passed away in February, at the age of 98.

A newsy letter from Carson Abijah Smith tells of his trips to Hanover, referring especially to seeing more girls at the Carnival than in his entire four years in college. He writes: "A country doctor doesnot have, many changes in life, so cannottell any very big stories. Like the Dartmouth pump of our day, we are on dutytwenty-four hours every day in the year. When I was a medical student at Dartmouth, Dr. C. P. Frost told us one dayabout how much he enjoyed driving outabout sunrise and seeing the squirrels andhearing the birds. But since automobileswere invented, the birds and squirrelskeep away from the roads where doctorsdrive."
