Classmates who have not seen notices in the press will be keenly interested in the announcement of the engagement of John McLane, son of Judge, to a daughter of Andrew Marshall '01. It is reported that the young people will be married soon, and that John, a freshman, will continue his course.
A post card from Bishop Niles, mailed from London, says that Mrs. Niles and he are spending three weeks with their daughter Katharine, motoring about England. Bishop also expects to have a few days in Paris, and sails from Scotland late in April.
Friends of Bill Smart will be keenly interested in the celebration on March 21 of the sixtieth wedding anniversary of his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Frank B. Smart of Canaan, N. H. Bill's father and mother were married in Canaan Center on March si, 1875, and moved to Canaan in 1888, where I believe they have lived ever since. Mr. Smart has been long in the service of his town, having served as town treasurer, auditor, and selectman. Hearty congratulations to Bill and to his father and mother!
