THE CHICAGO ASSOCIATION skipped its regular weekly luncheon on August 12 in favor of an association golf party and outing at Chicago Golf Club, Wheaton, Illinois. Some 22 members competed for the golf prizes, while a few more arrived in time for a swim and dinner.

Jess Hawley 'O9 has donated to the Association the Jess Hawley Cup, to be awarded annually to the winner of low net, the winner of three legs to get permanent possession. Ned Price '2l captured the first leg on the trophy, while the donor was runner up. Other prizes: low gross—Merritt Joslyn '27, second low gross—Hank Llewellyn 'l4, blind bogey—Bill Juergens '23.

The annual Association picnic will be held on the afternoon and evening of August 31, the day before the all-star football game. As usual the picnic will be at the farm of Louie Leverone 'O4, west of Highland Park. The Association expects that it will have many of the most prominent football coaches in the country in Chicago for the all-star game among its guests as it did last year.

The luncheon for undergraduates and their fathers will be held September 9 at Mandels.
