The largest group of alumni and friends of the College, over 300, that has attended an Annual Meeting of the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Chicago for many years, assembled in the ballroom of the Drake Hotel, on Friday evening, March 15th, to welcome President Hopkins to Chicago after an interval of several years since his last visit here.

President Hopkins made an address which will leave a lasting impression on all those who had the privilege of hearing him.

Dr. Walter Dill Scott, President of Northwestern University, and the head masters of a number of leading preparatory and high schools of the Chicago district were guests of honor at the dinner. A large number of applicants for next fall's freshman class and their fathers were also in attendance.

George G. Traver '24, retiring president of the Association, acted as toastmaster and introduced President Hopkins.

The following officers of the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Chicago were elected for the coming year: President Tracy Kohl '19 Vice President. . . .Russell P. Carpenter '23 Secretary Whitney Campbell '25 Treasurer George R. Lyon '25

President Hopkins was accompanied by Al Dickerson, Secretary of the Alumni Fund Committee, and the following day after the banquet a luncheon meeting was held at the Inter-Fraternity Club attended by all the class agents and sub-agents in the Chicago district. The luncheon was addressed by President Hopkins, Al Dickerson and Jack Hubbell, President of the Alumni Fund Committee.
