THE ANNUAL holiday luncheon with and for undergraduates was held by the Chicago Association on December 27 at Henrici's on Chicago's Rialto. The luncheon was attended by approximately 125, including 30 undergraduates, 6 or 7 fathers of undergraduates, and several applicants for the class of 1940.
President Tracy Kohl '19 called upon the undergraduates to introduce each other and to report the news of the College, he also called upon John Dingle '10 and Jim Donovan, Chicago '13, to speak for the fathers present, and upon Wallie Aschenbach '22, coach of the highly successful New Trier High School football team.
The Chicago Association used Henrici's this year as a place to hear returns from the Harvard, Yale, Cornell, and Princeton games, inviting alumni from those colleges to join with the Association. A snake dance followed the Yale game. A capacity crowd of 225 was on hand for the Princeton game, consisting of two Hanoverians for each Princetonian. Jack Cannon '26 acted as chief announcer for these events.
The move to Henrici's is not permanent. Luncheons will be held as usual every Wednesday at Mandel's.
