The unexpected passing of Livy brings sorrow to us all. Whenever two or more Dartmouth men gathered, it was Livy who enlivened the party. We shall miss him. See Necrology in this issue for such information as has reached this remote spot on the Maine coast.

A painful attack of acute sciatica forced Doc Lougee to take his own medicine during July and August, and prevented him from attending the wedding of his older son. It was Richard who served as our official photographer at our 45th reunion.

The "New Deal" forced Pattee to stay in Florida much later than usual, when he was coerced into giving a commencement address at Rollins College on June 3. Senator Fletcher of Florida was listed for the job, but was unable to leave Washington on account of much pending "New Deal" legislation.

A fine letter from Spencer, wishing to be remembered to all the class.
