ON JUNE 19, 1936, the second annual award of a DARTMOUTH CUP based upon scholarship, athletics, and character was made to the most deserving member of the senior class of Plainfield High School in the person of Herbert A. Stine Jr. The presentation was made by George F. Hetfield '3l on behalf of the Dartmouth Club of the Plainfields. Mr. Stine has since distinguished himself in the New Jersey State Tennis championships.

On the same date Frank H. Blatz '3l presented a like cup as the third annual award of a DARTMOUTH CUP to Robert Guzwiller as the outstanding boy in the '36 class of North Plainfield H. S.

Edward Rosko, one of last year's winners, has continued to excel and has won the scholarship prize at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Walter L. Hetfield 111 '2B has been recently elected chairman of the Republican City Committee and Plainfield has not gone democratic since the memory of man runneth. Frank H. Blatz has succeeded his late father on this committee. George Hetfield is advocating the old torch light procession to lash John Coggins' Old Line and New Deal Democrats into sufficient fury to make a contest. George has forgotten that Yale has been beaten at football.
