ELECTION COME AND GONE .... arguments still going on, but not so interesting as football discussions .... everyone hopes that if more personnel is added to Washington Government forces, Dartmouth will be well represented .... the second of our monthly dinners for the boys who can't join us at our weekly luncheons at the Harrington was held at Burt's Tavern .... latest bulletin from Al Dickerson read .... much jubilation over the Yale game .... many fears expressed over the Columbia game, since dispersed .... forty-ninth installment of argument over whether Buck Freeman '13 is Association historian Buck claims he resigned as soon as elected Wilson contends resignation never received

Ted Stafford late as usual, comes in out of breath and says he has had dinner McCoy '18 declines to read aloud account of Yale game, says he can't pronounce the words .... bets placed on Navy's chances against Notre Dame .... did you see the reception they gave the President at his home-coming? .... shall we have the musical clubs in Washington again this winter? .... Big success last year; can we be that lucky twice? .... what's the idea of the first four games on the football schedule next fall? .... stronger teams maybe not available Amherst nobody's set-up this year, though. .... Washington high schools to be contacted with offer of information to assist local principals in advising students as to requirements, expenses .... letter in Washington Star says Dartmouth is most expensive men's college .... letter answered by local president who points out difficulty of making valid comparisons .... more expensive to go to college in New York or Philadelphia than in the Hanover wilds .... besides, someone suggests, look what you get for your money .... by the time this chatter appears in the ALUMNI MAGAZINE our annual lunch and keg party with our Cornell pals in Washington will be history .... there's an event worth coming to Washington for .... grand bunch, the Cornell alumni, and some of them can sing Gus Moran, the demon an- nouncer of special wire returns, steps out of his character as a law professor once a year and rolls them in the aisle with his announcements ad lib, between bona fide returns .... hope the team doesn't get careless against Cornell .... special car for our crowd being arranged for Princeton game .... grim determination this year .... we'll be in every play .... some of us still carrying bruises (mental) received from making slides in snow of Palmer Stadium last year .... maybe Yale will soften 'em up for us this year .... most modest local alumnus gets plenty publicity because of generosity to Community Chest

.... local ATO's start revolution because national body removed charter without consulting anyone Resettlement Administration upset affects some of our bunch, we hope not too many, as they are active alumni Page Worthington should get married so he can get out nights for Dartmouth meetings .... our bowling team is making a fine record in competition with some hot bowlers from other colleges .... local sports writer says no smart better would have picked Dartmouth against Yale .... that's what he thinks. . . . ALUMNI MAGAZINE furnishes subjects for conversation at our luncheons as soon as issued .... everybody must read it the night it comes .... why not play one of those southern colleges in Washington? .... good games drawing good crowds here now Georgetown, local university, among unbeaten teams, once trimmed us 10-0, at Haverhill, Mass

our alumni group ideal in its distribution of classes .... we get them old and young, all classes, all interested . . . .
