THE DARTMOUTH OUTING CLUB of Boston, founded in 1930, started its eighth season with a meeting at the University Club in September. The following officers were elected for the coming year.

Chairman, John O. Crawford '3O; ViceChairman, Paul Guibord '36; Treasurer, Francis C. Ryder '3O; Secretary, Charles V. Raymond '3O; Director of Membership, Edward Marshall '34; Director of Entertainment, William H. Callihan '34; Director of Sports, Joseph G. Byram '32; Director of Grounds and Improvements, Edward R. Johnson '27; Cabin Administrator, Edwin S. Waters '3O.

Last year the Club paid the final installment on its mortgage so that the land and cabin in Groton are now debt free and the Club will be able to proceed with further improvement of the property.

The first big event of the season was a dance in Groton after the Harvard game. Bill Callihan '34 was in charge of the arrangements. One recent Sunday was spent in applying a coat of linseed oil to the entire exterior of the cabin, which is assuming a mellowed with age appearance. Sometime in November a touch football game with the Dartmouth men in Harvard graduate schools is planned with Ed Johnson '27 doing the heaving for the chubbers.
