Hon. and Mrs. Seth N. Gage celebrated their golden wedding at their hospitable home in Ascutney, Vt., on Sunday, January 12. About forty friends and relatives came to join in the felicitations of the occasion. Among the guests were Mr. and Mrs. E. G. Bailey and Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Chapman, representing the class of '79, Mr. A. B. McClary 'l6, of Windsor, Dr. F. P. Lord '9B, of Hanover, and J. H. Beardsley '36, of Springfield.
Seth Gage and Cora C. Henderson of Cambridge, Mass., were married January 13, 1886. They have one daughter, Mrs. Gladys Rogers, who has been doing some very interesting work at Robin Hood's Barn, Ascutney, with children who are afflicted with cerebral palsy.
Mr. Gage was engaged in engineering work in Texas and Mexico for several years, then in insurance business in Cambridge, Mass., until 1907, when he and Mrs. Gage came back to Ascutney, where they have since lived in a fine old Vermont mansion, to which many friends find their way. The "4 o'clock teas" served there have become an institution.
Since the foregoing was written has come the sad news of the death of Mrs. Gage on February 12.
